In Ulead DVD MovieFactory my cousin (the program uses for holiday discs), the function of a SVCD or VCD player to integrate a software that automatically starts when you insert the DVD and immediately play the movie on the CD begins.
I know that on each disc, in which there exists an auto-start function or a separate icon in Explorer / My Computer has the file autorun.inf. This file can be in the standard Windows Notepad to create the normal (file extension "txt". Shall be level manual in the Explorer. "INI" be changed).
This file always looks like this:
[StartAutoRun]
[some command] = [some path on the CD / DVD]
Now my question: Does anybody know how can I do that for a DVD created in Encore, an automatic player, which is specified as a startup program in the above INI.
In addition, I have an image file "autostart.ico" (I've created in Microlangelo), which is to be shown as an icon in the Explorer. Does anybody know what commands I should type in the AUTOSTART.INI?
PS: I know that this question could fit some more in a computer science forum, but I have two reasons why I run the query here:
1st) I had this question raised in a computer science synonymous forum so far (sorry, no answer) and will as soon as I get a response, summarize them here.
2.) This question relates to the authoring of video DVDs, which may indeed be part of the Videioschnitts. Therefore, I assume that the results of my question will be interested here synonymous to one or another.

It's simple: Bring you nothing Smile
Because: If a DVD player is installed on the PC and Auto-Run is enabled in Windows,
The PC will play the DVD auto.
The autorun.inf will only start when the player is NOT installed - but then you would have to
provide.
But you can theoretically synonymous
[autorun]
open = start VIDEO_TSVIDEO_TS.IFO
reinschreiben in the autorun.inf.
With the command "open = start xxx" xxx file is started ie with the default program
so what is on IFO files, usually the DVD player.
But Is, as I said, usually makes no sense.

garkeine. every thinking man has autorun disabled. => That's true, admittedly, in most cases, but I can assure you that the Größtteil my clients (in this case) end of my DVDs, has enabled the autostart function!

Because IMHO it would be more appropriate to the individual customer "without" selling software that, in addition to a DVD. Ggf. you could check with the company whether one can attach a time-limited trial version ".
Free DVD software player, it seems to be synonymous. I've searched but not the hook ;-)

Interesting would be an installation free DVD player, which runs directly of the DVD. But I have seen none. Presumably it is too costly and too little productive hold a complete multimedia system s.Windows over ...

In theory, and further expanded somewhat: It could be synonymous, a Linux system on the DVD of draufpacken and start from there and let the calculator / the plates of the customer completely at rest. DVD player for Linux there. That must, however, of the DVD to boot ;-)
