Hello,
I did yesterday after nearly 10 years old again GRS70E-JVC Camera herausgekramt to old vacation videos on the SVHS-C tapes to watch. Unfortunately I now have a small problem. I have about 20 more or less full cartridges. Only 3 of which can be easily played. The remaining tapes only sound you hear when playing the tape. At exactly the tapes, the video does not show is the display of a Camera SVHS logo. For the 3 functional cassettes, it will not be displayed. I thought to myself now that my father, the videos apparently partly in VHS and partly in SVHS format and my TV has no SVHS playback supported. However, in the cassette, where the play SVHS this logo was displayed, synonymous no video on the camera to see. The tapes showed functioning both as a Picture in the Camera, as synonymous to the Television. Due to the fact that I assume that at least SVHS video actually displayed on the camera should be, I am now a bit stumped and hope that someone help me here can be. Thanks again in advance.

Hello,
First find out whether it s.den cassettes or s.Camcorders lies. Do you have a random synonymous SVHS recorder or know someone who has one?

Unfortunately I know of no one currently with a SVHS recorder. I will umhören times. On the Camera there is a switch, you s.dem SVHS to On or Off can provide. Picture but regardless of the position of this switch is not displayed. Therefore, I went so far assume that this switch is probably only for the determination of the recording and playback rather than the format is. I hope that the tapes are not out, with the probability that eigentl synonymous. not be higher than expected because jaüber 80% and they do not work in a dark cool environment in their original cassette shells were stored. In addition here would be surprising that the very tapes, SVHS where the logo appears, do not work and the others already. Has anyone else an idea? Unfortunately, I can even with the matter not so much use to us.

Unfortunately not. I know no one apparently with a SVHS video-enabled, or the like and s.der Camera seems synonymous nothing more to be what you can adjust this. The instructions say nothing such synonymous. To really find out whether the tapes to go (would be even a frighteningly high failure rate when not), I have time on eBay looking for such a device. It cost me the same 's assets or is there cheap VCR, which have integrated sowas?

Of the still scanty s.Markt are VHS or DVD recorders <> VHS Combi Some devices can play back S-VHS, but not record.

and my TV, no SVHS playback supported. The television needed for S-video nothing special - about Composite (scart adapter) it's in any case. Through the - actually more popular asls ten years - S-Video input is only slightly better picture quality. You have to see in any case a bit.
I am now a bit stumped and hope that someone help me here can be. That sounds like a device error - or someone has sämliche S-VHS tapes by Insertschnitt played with black - then the only sound left. I would be synonymous on a recorder to try otherwise. If the bands which it is synonymous sees you on a VHS recorder, a distorted picture. Ideal is naturally an S-VHS recorder or a VHS recorder with S-VHS playback ( "SQPB").
