the multi-camera section, I am encountered recently s.The boundaries of my laptops, and is currently looking for a spoon for my performance problem.
I want my laptop through additional external hardware, or a card to expand the extent that the work with Premiere CS4 makes fun again.
Unfortunately, I know myself with some basic technical details not yet good enough for me to decide for itself the appropriate hardware to.
As already mentioned, I use a laptop of LG (; Core 2 Duo T5500, 2GB RAM, ATI X 1600, Windows XP)
I am currently working with material of a Canon FS 100th the film material is thus directly to SDHC memory card before.
since I am currently in the foreseeable future - provided that it continues to give me as much as spas - wants to buy a desktop PC to cut, I now wish to invest no more than 100 ¬ -300 ¬.

When Multicam editing the bottleneck is often the hard drive. You can see the light: If the playback jerky, and the processor is not fully utilized, the plate is too slow. It must indeed synonymous up to 4 video files will be read simultaneously. I have had good experiences with it to distribute the individual cameras to external disks. To create even my 6 years old Toshiba notebook with 1 Processor 2.6 Ghz and 1 GB of RAM 4 multicam traces (; in CS2).
