According to Cnet study are the most tech users (74%) worried about the implications of the HD DVD format war, since the months between HD DVD and Blu-ray rages. In particular, the increased prices for DVD players which can handle both formats, are an annoyance in addition could also concern about too complicated copy protection mechanisms for purchasing restraint care. If indeed such pressure on the manufacturer may be exercised, would move again, perhaps in the format war - the chances of this are rather low.

Additionally could to avoid another "format" to socialize: FVD (Forward Versatile Disc). A "DVD" Write with higher density and supposedly 5.4 (SL) to 11 GB (DL) per disc, with standalone MPEG-2 / 4 decoders up to 1980 x 1020th
FVD was in China as the "antidote" and to avoid licensing costs of development and could, at least for "videot" a cheaper / easier alternative. So a kind of "HD SVCD.

Hello,

because many probably still heard nothing about FVD have here the first link to the format in Wikipedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forward_Versatile_Disc

The Asian market is behaving at the silver Lingenfelder a lot different than the European. The enormous proliferation of VCD and SVCD formats in Asia with Europe is difficult to compare. It may therefore well be that there is virtually a second disc s.den major market counterparty is past. Crucial for this is, as always, the acceptance - it remains to be seen how FVD developed. "Waiting" appears on HD-DVD now anyway the schlauste to be what to do ... ;-)
