Then Lynda. I know Final Cut X (not good). When FCS was able to help you get started by briefly hinted that the Layers palette is a.besten in Motion as the Layers palette in Photoshop to understand. It is synonymous some video tracks in Final Cut and together Select your> Send to> Motion. Then you see how the representation is there. With the red "Rec" button under the preview window changes are recorded (and so automatically creates keyframes). This is very superficially, but maybe it helps.
