What we know is synonymous MPEG and a few other codes patented standards. For more expensive editing software licenses are the most since included.
How does open with software such as Avidemux?
Should I as the MPEG Lizensgebühren s.die pay, right?

There are different licenses, which in turn is different MPEG patents. There are licenses for MPEG decoder, encoder, Streamline products (multiplexers / demultiplexers), distribution, reproduction. Each license will cost money. In what waters are related freeware products thus move easily derived.

There are at least the licensing of MPEG encoding and de-contained. The corresponding components licensed patents are therefore synonymous with the MPEG LA and can be listed on their website of any person.
