Hello,
I'm looking for a way for a long-term documentation
1 Picture/5min or so. That means the doc is 1 year.
DV Camera and laptop are there! Only software which gives me every few minutes a picture on the plate? Or is there even a DV-Cam which could?

I assume that the camera a fixed location must have. The whole is therefore in principle on Time Lapse out. Right?
If so, do you do that s.besten not with a DV camera, but with a reasonably high quality "surveillance camera". These cameras, in conjunction with an FTP server will be configured. How can you every 5 minutes can save picture with date and time in the filename. These images then you should see every day as from the FTP server and retrieve ever as "Days movie" processed. Thus you can simultaneously, while the camera beautifully well-behaved in the next 5 minutes rhythm begins, your material in days, weeks and months to prepare.
At the end you just add the prepared staggered to the finished work together.
So I've made it as an assembly of a plant over several months went.
Advantage of the surveillance camera:
Fixed s.die wall screws. No. Bildwackler except earthquakes :-)
Resolutionbis 1280x960, so the frames are necessary, even "HD capable". I've not used :-)
With regular backup very secure.
Parallel work very easily. Or did you ever slip on a 12x24x365 imported images?

different DV cams can be anything, but this would not actually a classic task for the webcam program so sooner - than DSL flatrates did not yet exist - every few minutes, the pictures on the web have loaded ... ?

A Picture every 5 minutes would be 12 frames per hour, so (very roughly) every two hours one seconds of finished film. That's 12 seconds per day, 84 seconds per week, so the entire film for about 70 minutes.
You have to be synonymous, but remember that there are phases with a lot of movement and phases with little or None Movement, which is always synonymous You aufnimmst. So you'll need to edit them much later to rauszunehmen passages - and others would have you maybe happy with more images. So exactly to plan.
