Frage von Corpse:Hi,
There is a lossless codec for postpro a la ProRes workflow on a Windows machine (Adobe) CS4?
Uncompressed, QuickTime animation is to me a bit too big for Cineform, and I want to spend at the moment yet.
Which codec is well suited for the post, or is reasonably Lossless at low data rate.
Yes Has someone an idea?

Since when has ProRes lossless?
So if we are of lossless - speak so definitively loss - then you can access or codecs like Lagarith Huffyuv. The former is compressed slightly better (but needs more resources of the decoding), the latter is not as efficient, but fast. This fully supported codecs but not as RGB at 8 bits, but can save synonymous alpha channel.
Both codecs are in contrast to ProRes really lossless.
Furthermore, there are on the Windows page nor the possibility of "visible lossless" codecs (such as ProRes). This includes, Avid DNxHD wenns should be professional - if not, then there is FFV1. The codec is very fresh, very little, however, supports the Results look very good (with the naked eye, no difference to the original) and the size - only create the lossy codecs. The bad thing s.der: 4:2:0 only and only 8 bit, no alpha. The decoding speed is also very low.
Another possibility would be even h264 in "lossless" mode. This is basically nothing more than synonymous FFV1, only the encoder may be better (eg, x264).
