Hi!
Video Technical Greenhorn needs help:
I want my *. mov movies with which a digital picture camera of Panasonic will be in deluxe Magix edit and output. After processing, however, is the picture / film - the quality noticeably worse.
Could the MPEG4 codec with the improved? Is there a free solution or Magix Deluxe must be purchased by the codec freizusachalten?

Here we are missing some information. In what size and frame rate with what is the original from the camera? What sizes can you preset in Magic? And what does "edit"? Just cut or join? Or, apply effects? What do you want with the recordings? A DVD made? You on the web? Only on the calculator screen?
The general rule is that some digicams very good films, but often at a reduced frame size and frame rate offer. An import of a, say, 320 x 240 movie at 15 fps, in a NLE, which is only 576 x 720 and 25 fps can not bring as much. Since it would be better for small movies to their dignity, and they only cut or attach to each other. This can be made without any change in the original quality of many small tools and even player. Mpeg4 improving the quality, it reduces not only visible, as are other codecs do.

Thank you for the prompt reply! The Camera is a 6 MB photo camera Panasonic Lumix DMCFX-01. The s.Helm is attached and when I wear the paragliding.
Discontinued Quality VGA 640x480 / 30fps.
File Format: Quick Time Motion JPEG (*. MOV).
My wish: Scenes in Magix crop, join, background music, titles. Ev. Color or Helligketiskorrektur. No special effects. The whole s.PC mainly look, copy on CD. DVD (for TV) would be nice ...

If you do me a recommendation ... toll! Hab ich. If NTSC Magic can do for the DVD. The formats you need to adapt even likely, but at least the frame rate is consistent.
Motion JPEG, there are perhaps as synonymous default? The less change the better.
