Hi folks,
I switched to Win Of Os and have seen that there is no Firewire 400 Firewire 800 port, but s.meinem MacMini. I bought a FW 400 to FW 800 cable to connect to my Canopus ADVC-55. Unfortunately, the status LED is always red. 've Got everything connected properly, as always halt. Can s.FW 800 lie?
Edit: Cable is not broken, was successfully tested with another device.

Perhaps the device, the additional power supply needed, because the FW port can not provide enough energy - if it is a 4-pin connector (see Manual p.12).

In view of the image of unions MacMini I rather suspect an incompatibility with FW800, but because it IMO is a 6-pin connector.

On a PC gehts da so from
FW800 -> FW400 cable
Canopus bekonmmt and is knowledgeable of current
BUT: Both lights lights Digital IN and OUT.
If you Hotpluged is pocketed everything is OK until you invoke the Capture program
The ADVC can not then decide between In and Out
