I have been pretty much all the threads on the subject read, but for my particular situation does not really right answer is found.
I have a SonyHDR SR-11 and would like for example in the zoo, the animal noises record (about 3-5m away), and the talk of the other visitors beside me as far as possible, hide, without a microphone into Angel enclosure to keep them. Is that even reasonably possible? And makes for the acquisition of such as a Sennheiser MKE 400 or Beyerdynamic MCE 86 S II ever make sense? The sound quality of the internal microphone fully enough for me, I need not synonymous running noises off, the only reason for me to purchase an external microphone would be the directivity. Is there a budget of at up to 200, - Euro a recognizable improvement in mounting a microphone on the camera to be expected?

You'll not only a Microphone synonymous but still need a device with which it supplies 48V phantom power.
From experience I can tell you however, that directional microphones with automatic operated hardly make sense. Sowas had already cut and it was terribly bad (noise grip, along with targeted, etc.).

One of you is quite clear: no "long" micro-directional, ie without parabolic reinforced the sound from the direction, but it only weakens the incoming from the side.

I am pretty excited by AUDIO TECHNICA AT897. Although it cost hundreds more. Where, however, synonymous battery power and the sound is really good (synonymous laterally). The directivity is top - and it does very well be the sound of the front adds.
