Camera is a XH-A1 will be the thing.

"Manfrotto 501" is not a tripod but a tripod head. He is used mostly in conjunction with the legs 520 or 525, which is only marginally different. How well the 501er but synonymous, would I give you the slightly more expensive, but with real technology, fluid-head 503 Recommend: The pans are just a little cleaner. If you're still on the 501-variant decide, you can do after the synonymous "Pro5" of Vinten look: is virtually identical, but usually cheaper to get.
For the Sony Tripod speaks, however, in the grip already integrated rear camera operator (Manfrotto at extra cost), where I am now off the cuff does not know whether with the Canon compatible. But I think it is.

The Lanc-of Sony Tripods are more consumer-like, the combination of 501 or better 503 and 525 clearly professional (stable and torsion).
Even if the Manfrotto with HKB costs more than the Sony, I would still (again ;-) take.

Lanc is usually a connection standard of Canon & Sonyu.A. Because the XH A 1 synonymous a Lanc port, it should work.
For some of Manfrottos remote but there are specially developed for Canon. Zb 522 C & CA (for the heads 700 RC 2 & 3130), 521 or 523 of the works at Sony and Canon together. I think it is about different functions of the two companies.
The Manfrotto for 521 & 523 have the same remote control for Canon & Sonyverkauft, actually proves the two must work as long as a Lanc connection there.
Remote control 523 or 523 PRO, I can heartily recommend you warmly, so much (emotionally and direct contact) can be difficult s.der Camera zoom, this still synonymous variable zoom. And you can zoom of right to left or vice versa to control what eventually link the dealers always be neglected (Bin law merchant)
501er head is not a fluid head, despite very good, stable and durable.
Tripod 525 is really good, I rarely stable Tripods habes in the price range seen, has a proper ground spider - there is nothing around - and most importantly it is much higher than the head with the small 1.50 cm VCT 1170th
For the 1170er speaks well of the price incl remote control, but it need not use all functions on a Canon function - Start / Stop, Off / On and Zoom, but should go. Is it not 100% say.
