Frage von Costa:Hi!
Perhaps you can help me, yes. I'll do shortly:
1. Why is the Resolution1440x1080i 16:4? When I calculate the ratio in a three-pronged approach, I always come to 4:3.
2. What does anamorphic 1440 x 1080i?
3. Is it true that the SonyHVR-A1E in 1440x1080i and absorbs the Picture prints in full 1920x1080?
4. Is it normal that a 1400x1080i picture on a monitor with 1366x768 pixels s.allen 4 edges is partially cut off and will not scale?
That would be first time everything. I hope you can help me ...

1. Why is the Resolution1440x1080i 16:4? When I calculate the ratio in a three-pronged approach, I always come to 4:3. Your three-pronged approach is correct, is the aspect ratio with square pixels at 4:3. (16:4 is probably a typo ;-)
2. What does anamorphic 1440 x 1080i? Anamorphic means that the pixels are not square but rectangular. You are a draw 4:3-Picture with square pixels in the Width, you eventually get a 16:9 picture with square pixels.

4:3 or 5:4 4. Is it normal that a [video-] Picture on a monitor [...] 4 edges s.allen [...] is partly cut off? I modified your question somewhat, since this applies to all the video images that are displayed on a television (not just HDV). The keyword this is called "overscan".

The problem there is probably synonymous in the professional sector

Answer to Question 3:
In contrast to high-definition formats take all HDV camcorder only anamorphic 1440 * 1080, and of course on the issue takes place in such synonymous. Only by internal flags of the software is notified that the picture will still be stretched to 1920.
Only one thing I must say even synonymous times: there are probably several hundred thousand entries on this topic alone in Google. The fact that such questions always come back, I can explain to me the only way that both see as synonymous answering questioners are welcome in the forum.

Greeting 1. The Picture is squeezed because the man is Resolutionwichtiger vertical than horizontal. Therefore, one can then apply a trick and it is hardly noticeable.
2. Anamorphic HD means that the signal is technically on tape and internal and 1440x1080 on output from the camera equalized at 1920x1080.
3. Yes.
4. No.. Via component or HDMI achieved a signal of the monitor ALWAYS 1920x1080i (or 1280x720p). The internal scaler reckons its native resolution (1366x768 to the case)).

Theoretically, this applies to almost all questions and then it would be (not only) in this forum very very very very very quiet. ;-) Hello,
I dare mal ne conservative estimate:
exists in the genre, dealing with the video editing forums, some 100 (perhaps synonymous 200) fundamental debate issues on which everything revolves. Which are deposited in all the forums as a FAQ somewhere. Now if everyone would read this FAQ and understand that there was really no more questions - it turns everything around anyway these 100 subjects.
One might conclude, then practically the forums and simply refer to the FAQ ;-))
Why in the world, we therefore still drive us around here?
Correct answer: to always and always the same questions. There are only ever new variations of the same questions.
Is interesting, right?

Antwort von JammyMcCom:
Ahem ........... yes, it would be pretty quiet in the forums.
The thing still runs pretty emotional. Someone has either a problem or if he really thought about what he could ask intelligent questions, so he is in the forum.
And then there are many willing responder who have already written 100-synonymous times the same, because they want to be synonymous to hear their voice.
If everything is ok and still better than dead silence.
80% of human communication just run on the emotional and not on a rational level, and that's good.
