I'm new here, have tried to search but found no answer. Maybe you can help me ...
On my Panasonic AG-DVC 30, I would like a small external monitor and looking for a cheap (!) Solution. The camera has an AV output. Now I have found a media player (AIV mec 16 / 9 SD), one AV input has. Actually it should not be a problem, the camera image on the monitor issue, but just does not work. (The media player is always the message "No Signal" from.) Did I do wrong thought or does it not? Maybe you're so synonymous ggf other ideas.
For anyone interested I will explain the background: When I record an interview, I have on the left side, the camera monitor, I am right, I see nothing at the moment and do a blind flight.

Difficult. The Camera is quite sure - that it is not broken - a picture via composite and S-video. I do that your media player (player with integrated screen?) Problems. Basically, every 100 euros of display media market with the required inputs to work. Perhaps the picture output in the menu of your DVC disabled? That's at least ...

Hello,
first of all thank you for the answer. Meanwhile, I have found the solution. Camera and Media Player will not work on a simple AV cable 2.5 mm jack to 3.5 mm. Jack. I now have the AV cable with three RCA connectors of camera and media player connected via clutches and it works.
The bottom line, incidentally, I am now quite excited of this solution ...
