So it is. Frame accurate. In a DV-AVI delivers every single frame, the same DV quality. It will not save any changes to previous frames, but each frame always contains the full image information. Therefore, all frames can be placed between a section.
In contrast, MPEG, each frame is in a sense s.einen different frame coupled or dependent on him.
MPEG stands ideally until the very s.end the processing chain, namely, if you (a ready-cut film s.dem nothing will be changed) final s.acta lay, say, the worthiness film into the net on a hard drive archivierst or even burn to CD od DVD.

What if is recorded in the near future, perhaps only in MPEG4 format on hard disk? Since one is synonymous before such a problem. It would be better would be to record the camcorder with hard disks continue to DV-AVI!

I am glad that I encounter such profound statements in this forum. Unfortunately, in other fora, a kind of "religious war" made it.
I have after years of abstinence for a new entry video with MPEG-recording (JVC MC500) chosen because sprich. synonymous for me the beginning of my "workflows" (the recording) belongs in the deliberation.
