Hello,
for our video project in the university, we would like a MiniDV Ein-/Abspielgerät buy. We filmed with a Canon XH A1. So far, we have the tapes with an old dubbed, but what would now like to say a DV Tapedeck etc. change. (is it really so that no quality loss, if we are with the XH A1 tapes recorded with a cheap play on Cam?)
I have here in the forum to read some posts, but I am still unsure what we should s.besten growth. I would be grateful to you if you give me a Kauftip could.

Caution: The XH A1 records on MiniDV tapes to - but not in DV format, but in HDV! (Except you take in DV mode on - have you done so far?)
So: The recorded quality on a DV tape is always the same, no preference which player (digital: 0 and 1 are 0 and 1)! The best option is an inexpensive MiniDV again - to buy (so-called capture bitch). Each Tapedeck etc. is much more expensive ...

Many here use a "capture bitch", so a simple MiniDV -. The data are from tape via firewire to 1:1, so no loss of quality in the transfer arises.
