Hello,
I had over my penultimate weekend JVC Everio H7 borrowed (somewhat more precisely, purchased and now back to back) and was bitterly disappointed. It was not possible without the use of a tripod synonymous only a half-shake-free picture to bring forth. The Image Stabilization was synonymous with small zoom virtually no chance for me to help.
After wild, but I am determined in future to work with HDV, I would not give up yet. In the forum are several contributions to HDV and "Action / Sports" to be found, usually on a tripod is advised.
Photo Graphically, I'm with a good on the Canon and my question now is whether the Image Stabilization of the XH-A1 synonymous as good works, as in the case of high-quality CANON lenses.
And if someone has experience with motocross, it would be a few tips and comments on the filming in HDV super!

Unlike a digital SLR has a digital video camera several disadvantages:
1. You do not just one (1) Picture, as both he DSLR, but 25 pieces per second
2. you have a relatively long exposure time of 1 / 50 sec, compared to the DSLR, probably usually with shutter speeds shorter than 1 / 250 works.
If your expensive Canon DSLR video recordings that would be synonymous of Bildstbilisator there very quickly s.Ende.

True, the sDLR makes only 1 Picture (or 5 per second in the series mode), usually well below 1/50s, but I can so synonymous with the A1 at the time as set down 1/500s.
It is definitely noticeable how much the Picture calmed when the shutter is angetippt and the Image Stabilization in Lens works. I think the stabilization principle could be the same and the whole "higher" Zittereien should be eliminated.
Can an A1-User confirm?

With a camera weight of 2.5 kg (with battery, without accessories), I would like the results of these steady hand so happy to see - by way of a rotation, a total of more than 20 seconds lasted.

My dealer has the Canon is not stocked and if he is such a part of Canon ordered and then when I play in the shop and the adjoining region'm not satisfied, Canon takes the Cam back and not with us in Vorarlberg / A are not so many XH-A1 sells --- so at least I was told.

Can you recommend absolutely A1. Have they lent me, because I do a backup to my XL H1 needed. The Image Stabilization works very well. You get still image is not the tranquility of a shoulder bolides. But there is synonymous only 3200, and from Euros must only 2.5 kilos of camera instead of a drag in the value of a mid-size cars and 9 pounds to lift.
You will in any case better than a JVC camera. Except maybe of a GY-500, I have never been a sensible JVC Camera tested. Dignity for many reasons not to buy JVC product. Martin anyway I do not believe you without a tripod with the s.bessere
footage of motocross as it can with a handy
HDV consumercam ala hc7/hv20 ...
because the are much quieter in the hand and one can in limitless
synonymous freehand and mitschwenken zoom, which goes with the s.definitiv not so good ....

My experiences are different. A hand Cam is just too easy for them to keep quiet, no mass. The zoom buttons are available for children's hands. The tool of choice for both states Cams monopod. It must not touch the floor. It stabilized at least horinzontale movements. It can be synonymous with one hand easily lead, hold on or even move slightly downwards, while the camera moves slightly upwards. Who could not move at the same time and is stable, has Parkinson's and perhaps should be examined ...
