Frage von Gretwurtz:Hi folks,
I have a big problem with my above-mentioned camera. I have bought in December 2001 and since then regularly used for filming, but synonymous to play my videos filmed. Previously, I was extremely satisfied with the quality and reliability of my DCRTRV30E.
For two days now I have the problem that the camera while playing recorded cassettes, but no more video displays, whether on the LCD screen, still in the Viewfinder. That means you get the impression that the tape is unrecorded. But this is definitely not the case.
My question: Is the tape drive through the years of stress simply worn out? Is there any simple workaround? Would a repair worthwhile?
All of this problem which says something and possibly remedial know, thank you for your reply! [/ B]

Hello,
check it out, if perhaps only the head drum is dirty. In the case of strong pollution (eg by tape abrasion) will someday no signal output.
On the fast could you do that with a cleaning cartridge to find out. 10 seconds to run, then playing with a recorded cassette test again.

Hi Gretwurz,
the drum before you emery: is because the output via AV or DV-out? If so, the fault is at least not in the drive mechanism. Treasures that may require Rep. worthwhile (I have the very similar predecessor, the TRV20 and am still with image quality and other properties very satisfied).
Gruss
