Frage von WWJD:Hi folks
You just wanted to briefly share my experience with Adobe OnLocation CS3 and my notebook Asus Pro31 Series (Core2Duo 1.8 3GB RAM) state:
I have with my HV20 recording industry abroad need (HV20 only as temporary solution). For safety, I have first Citidisk with HDV 120GB purchased at the same time on tape and attached to record HD. Unfortunately, I had a lot of problems with it, mainly because of Vista. I then decided, Adobe OnLocation on my Vista Calculator to install to just directly to my s.USB2 port connected HD (5200rpm) the m2p files incorporated.
Unfortunately, this solution was synonymous rather unsatisfactory:
The preview image shakes massive, even though I have in the system settings have disabled all the frills, to allow a lot of computing power for this release. Forgiveness. I said it, my processor should be able to represent the files rukelfrei to be (according to Adobe's system requirements). The subsequent views of m2p Files ran very very poor starting.
That means it took forever to ne of the calculator in the file, for example Media Player could represent. Even if I directly into OnLocation had selected the file, ran the preview is very jerky from.
I wanted to edit it on my new iMac 24 with 2.8 Extreme, but there is only synonymous laborious if not eternal expected.
To all my misery imported Final Cut Pro (Studio2) then the files in the format 1440x810 despite HDV50i sequence settings.
Now I am actually very frustrated and disappointed synonymous, have spent much money and just Nevertheless Ruckelbilder.
What is it? On Processor, s.der affiliated ext. USB2 HD, or what ?????????
Would really happy about a few hints of professionals ........

If you have the files on an external USBPlatte you can definitely be that the play is jerky. USB is for the process and sometimes a bit slow fuers view. Did you s.Notebook Firewire?

Antwort von stevenk:
Yes Axel, but is associated with the Cam. The advantage of but should be right after the recording to view the file without the need to rewind tape. At home I have the ext. HD on the firewire port angestöbselt, the same problem ........
Antwort von jazzy_d:
ev 5400rpm is a little slow?
Do you have a 7200er to test?
I cut out and play HDV with no problems s.Notebook with only the internal hard disk. But just 7200rpm, but on Vista.
Antwort von smooth-appeal:
The problem is the ******* Vista. I wanted to capture with Vista, the disk is constantly caved performance. I have disabled all functions to the hard drive would have access. The result was better, but still more than satisfactory.
Since I added the look, the idiotic queries and much more on the bag went flying Vista very quickly of the plate and was replaced by Windows XP Professional.
Behold, the disk performance was at once more than enough, everything ran around a lot faster and I was happy again.
Ps jerky when capturing the preview image, which is normal, because the computer is here next to decode and output synonymous nor the continuous new material on the plate should pop. At least, at the console of Canon and so I think at Onlocation will not be otherwise.
Or have I misunderstood your Picture and jerky during normal playback? No matter how, in each case, uninstall Vista ;-)

The problem is the ******* Vista. I wanted to capture with Vista, the disk is constantly caved performance. ... na so sweeping certainly not true, because I work with Vista very performant and stable. A parallel to the calculator installed XP when it comes to editing in HDV vs. performance. VISTA64 even back down .... The problem is more likely s.jeweiligen Hardware-/Drivers-/BS-Kontext lie.
Antwort von smooth-appeal:
But that's true! Because you're a new and very powerful PC did not fall on you but believe me, I know what I'm talking about. Vista slows down tremendously from.
In addition, there are synonymous Windows XP 64bit, it works not with any hardware constellation, but for me it is extremely stable and performing as you would say ;-)

Hi-smooth appeal
I must, unfortunately, you are right. Vista slows down the moment the performance dramatically. Unfortunately, I can XP on my Asus notebook is not install
otherwise I would have done this long ago.
Question: What did you do for a calculator (CPU, RAM, etc.)?
Thank you for your info, I calmed down a bit .....

@ jazzy_d
Unfortunately, no .....
The statements of smooth-appeal agree with my experience totally agree .......
Antwort von smooth-appeal:
My hardware is just under your offering, your notebook has enough performance so definitely.
If I have correctly interpreted the original and you're questioner.
Why did you not able to install XP?
As far as I know you may even Vista (it's free?) Downgrade. I have read at least several times already. Is it s.fehlenden drivers?
On the Page of my laptop manufacturer, I was able after a long dig at the FTP server the XP drivers for my notebook after them. The offer, but unfortunately not all Manufacturer s.and many of the new notebooks are directly designed for Vista, ie for some of the components, there is only Vista-compatible drivers.
Antwort von stevenk:
Hi-smooth appeal
Exactly, it is missing s.den drivers.
Thank you for your info.
