Hello,
I have a Panasonic VDR-D220. Ansich a good (enough for me) device.
At issue:
I have a beginners course first test image is captured. The DVD I have in VR mode (I know from the DVD recorder and that makes it quite good).
Since my DVD drive in your computer synonymous nichtfinalisierte slices can read, I have to finalize waived (although later replaced, but it solved the problem, unfortunately, not).
So I have the video file (about 1GB in size) is copied to hard drive, with the ending and then provide MPEG in Ulead VideoStudio invited.

Now, had the idea, the video just once more through a converter to run, but None of the files used to ever accept.
Only the avidemux program has allowed me to give it a download. I saved the video in DVD format as the other raw file was saved and is now in the video editing studio. The only problem is I can adjust what ch wants Avidemux gives me basically from 16:9 to 4:3 and the video quality deteriorates synonymous immense, Ruckler for example, fragments and blur what the original is not.
I am somehow s.Ende with my Latain (which as Beginners in this field a long time ;-))
Has anyone ne idea?

A typical problem of not closed GOPs. Thus, many programs limit their difficulties.
Best option here would be to demux the file. Then you get a m2v (video) and an mpa (audio) file. The m2v can then use DGindex, Avisynth and VirtualDub to an AVI umcodieren. As a codec you can Lagarith or Huffyuv, for the lossless compression.
That is unfortunately the only way to get these problems out of the way to go.

Thank you. I have now made a DVD, freshly formatted (VR) and with about 25 minutes played. This I then finalized, the problem is the same. How can I demux the matter?
