Hi,
I am very interested in the above-described three new Canon SD / SDHC Camcorder FS10, FS11 and FS100.
I previously had Canon MV 850i camcorder, which now, after 3 years, however, the electronic Mini DV feeder schlapp made.
The Canons of the new system sounds to me as a layman quite tempting: I do not want more Mini DV mitzuschleppen and have less weight s.einer yet convenient camera. Do you think the quality is ok with only slightly more than 1 megapixel? Equally tempting is also the additional micro-connector for any interviews, etc.. That is what I have in comparable models rarely found.
In the course of my dealing with the topic, I read that there have been problems with the MPEG2 format Scheniden there and there. Where exactly are the problems there? (I realize that the compression in comparison to MINI DV is very much larger) with the supplied program but it should go quite well, right? (I do not want to just burn my raw material, but synonymous edit.)
Has anyone experience with one of these 3 cameras? I could still not find anything in the forum.
I'm thankful for every tip!

I got the FS 100 in the store. Makes a very good impression. I feel even better than the models of Panasonic SDR.
The hand strap for the Canon is better for me, the other models often have only a simple loop - where the camera does not really have a grip.
A 3.5 mm jack microphone input is, of course, for a PAL camera memory cards very rare, and therefore, the FS 10.11 and 100 have been good for many filmers cards.
The new battery system can now compete as Sony, JVC and Panasonic (the höherklassigen models) to show better battery rest, the man knew of Canon yet.
Actually, MPEG-2 editing now no problem, almost every current purchase program can handle it. What the users here think is that you do not use the free program (for example, Win Movie Maker).
Since DV (your 850) images with pure complete works and the sound is uncompressed, it is possible with older programs work better.
MPEG 2 is now so well developed that only professionals a difference between a DV (example Panasonic GS 90) and an MPEG 2 Camera (Example SDR H 40 - identical with GS 90) can see.
The cameras are based always on the PAL system that is 414,720 pixels - although they bring the digital stabilizer.

Thank you for your quick reply, Jan! You have something next to me helped. Just two questions for me are open:
1) Do you think because of that the Canon program supplied Pixela ImageMixer (TM) 3 SE is quite okay, or do I need with additional 100 - ¬ 200 (my estimate) for an "ordinary" editing program reckon?
2) The difference between the three models but mainly in the size of the integrated flash memory, if I read correctly? I put it to me as a big advantage to know in any event on the 8 GB flash memory and then have virtually with SDHC memory cards as needed "upgrade." So it makes sense after you think 100 ¬ extra for the FS 10 or greater instead of the FS 100? The FS 100 is yes without a memory card so that I do anyway with additional costs for a card must reckon.

Matthias

I've yet to SW Requirements (little time and the camera is quite new), but let go strongly believe that this is usual. This includes import, dividing function, a few effects and DVD burn.
It offered almost all camcorder of this kind in recent times of the well-known companies.
I've only just ordered the FS 100 (gibts synonymous in red & blue), 8 GB since it is good 1 / 4 of the 100 ¬ extra cost gets (FS 10). FS 11, so other color - black and 16 GB. Who Have filmmaker, has with two fixation methods in the camera, perhaps a couple of advantages, but the mass would rather just buy 3x 8 GB SDHC cards and is perhaps still less expensive ...
Many shops have now synonymous the 32 GB SDHC because, well 300 ¬ (Panasonic) are at the moment but very difficult to cope, but that will change.

Yes, really unusual that I as a business seller potential customers online tips exist.
Well, heavy bread for our lovely shops in the cities, but sometimes I am completely synonymous in the vicinity of a good price.
Such as Panasonic GS 230 or 299 ¬ for SonyHC 5 for 599 ¬, but service, Leihkamera, the product can handle, advice directly to the customer & accessories including tips and 100% Germany are a product or other customers what value.

Hello,
I am interested synonymous for the Canon FS10 (or FS11) and especially because both an external input Mirkofon have.
The device is mainly for interviews and lectures of the shooting may be used.
Apparently where the connection to a normal 3.5 mm jack is that correct?
Do I have to watch something if I have an external microphone to buy or can I basically each microfinance as long as I take it with 3.5 mm jack get (or can adapt it)?
Thanks in advance!
