I would be really happy (and probably other synonymous convinced Europeans) when looking at these unspeakable dimensions in inches would refrain (and it is a break-in and decimal form) synonymous wenns are common in America. You are not just ISO and you can get without mental translation in millimeters imagine not including (at least I, I honestly ;-) was meant, if I calculated it correctly have a 8,8 mm and a 9,8 mm (approx.) A 1/3-Inch-Sensor, for example, has a diagonal of just 6mm, a 1/2-inch comes only synonymous to 8mm. Since this information is still out of old tube-times come, is an inch in this sense is not with the usual 2.54 cm equate.

Some is also grown over the years and do not necessarily bad, just because it is old.
