Frage von Shadow3333:Hi, since yesterday I have a new camcorder (Praktica DVC 5.1 HD) and have now a problem in Vegas. If I clips (which I with my new camcorder was filmed) in Vegas insert the missing sound.
Here's a screenshot: http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z70/MaxKernmayer/Unbenannt-1.gif
Here is the video codec information if that helps:
Video codec: avc1 H.264
Audio Codec: mp4a: MPEG-4 AAC LC 48000Hz 128 kb / s tot, stereo (2 / 0)
Hope someone can help me:)

Marco ok, thanks. Just why is this so? When I look at the clip in quicktime at the ton on a normal volume.
How can I make the sound louder? I've already tried the master audio to the controller to provide higher, but it has nothing ...
Antwort von tommyb:
As small as the bar, it is either nothing or he really is very very quiet. Alternatively, it is simply not true of Vegas decoded and thus one has a "silent soundtrack."
Game times but watch the video s.and whether the left of the picture in the sound level green bar move. If yes, then the sound wirlich quietly, if not, is one of the above mentioned problems.
I see also that there is a Quicktime file is. Do you have the latest Quicktime Player on it?
Antwort von Shadow3333:
Bars are not moving, Quicktime Player, I have the latest synonymous (Quicktime 7).
Antwort von tommyb:
Okay.
At the sound of your clips, it seems to MPEG4 Audio (AAC).
Try it out the following:
1. Rename the file to *. mp4, *. mov instead to try and then
2. Loading Dir "ffdshow" down and install it. Then
Start> All Programs> ffdshow> audio configuration
in the field of AAC codec for the decoder to "realaac" or similar make.
Antwort von Shadow3333:
Have just tried that now and it works! :)
THANK YOU!
That means in future I have only the files in mp4 and rename it work?
Antwort von tommyb:
Vegas interpreted MPEG4 audio in a Quicktime container apparently not quite true.
Perhaps with the later versions (c, d or Vegas 9) fixed.
Antwort von steffl2512:
Hej,
Have exactly the same problem, although for me the solution is not worked with ffdshow! I can only select or disable libfaad2.
My data:
- Trail Version of Vegas 9 installed
- SonyDCR SR 32E
- Video format: MPEG-2
Vegas is the third video editing program slowly and beautifully, I am s.Verzweifeln.

Perhaps would be synonymous to normalize the tone a bit - what in the event properties of the audio portion can be adjusted. However, the noise might be too strong - you can only try.
Moreover, in the screen shoot synonymous other questions for me - did you really NTSC with 720x480 and 30 fps filmed? At least, so the Project. For us PAL would be better - or shall we say it this way: the project settings in Vegas should always refer to the properties of the source material in question, as always, the device is now set. The following website of the Practica Praktica DVC 5.1 HD obviously NTSC, PAL and 720 30p.

@ steffl2512
Your camera is filming again in MPEG2 and is probably the sound AC3 or MP2 (MPEG-1 Audio Layer 2).
Guck mal was at in ffdshow audio at MP1, MP2 is set.
Alternatively, you can help the installation of AC3Filter

Antwort von steffl2512:
Hej,
Thank you very much for your tip tommyb but unfortunately not geklappt hats!
Over the weekend I read next and found that use AC3 my videos. In ffdshow audio can I zw AC3 S / PDIF and liba52 choose. MP2 and MP3, the options mp3lib and libmad.
I have followed synonymous your Council and the udn downloaded AC3Filter installed. Do I need next in Sony Vegas Change settings?
In general, Sony Vegas seems generally problems with the audio performance to have. I can not in the audio menu options, etc. Audiohuellkurven change.
I would continue to be for good advice and remain connected with desperate regards

Hi!
I fear that you like just a newer version of Vegas will help:
http://www.videohelp.com/tools/Vegas
The feature list:
* Added ability to read certain MPEG-2 files with AC-3 audio.
Think this could help you.
Antwort von wolfgang:
Both have the latest Vegas version is installed, namely bezwiehungsweise Vegas Pro 8 Vegas Movie Studio 9th A few days ago is here and Vegas 8c just before Vegas Movie Studio 9a appeared that he could still try. And mpeg2-streams with 5.1 audio, while virtually no camcorder, but the material can be imported into Vegas 8. In the case of Movie Studio 9 would only be important to examine whether there is anyway around the Platinum version - otherwise, with the import of HD material probably nix.
From solutions ala ffdshow filter in Vegas, I believe, incidentally nothing, Vegas is against such interference fairly well shielded. No wonder that this is not or hardly working.

Dear tommyb and wolfgang!
I wanted to get me on this path once again very much for your help.
Going I
- Ulead Visual Studio 7 (no sound)
- Magix Movies on DVD 7 (sound, but major problems with sync between picture and sound)
- Sony Vegas Movie Studio (Platinum & Normal) - (no sound)
've tried, the attempt with Sony Vegas Pro 8.0c and geklappt sound is heard. Now we need only to cut and fit the Sync, but I'm confident.
I think it's great that people like her have been, time you take people like me to help!
Thanks and love Gruesse
