I would like to use my laptop as a preview monitor, because it has a very high-contrast screen. I have the usual tools WinDV, etc. with Firewire Scenanalyzer tempted by the average PC to the notebook, but all did not work, because they have reported the absence of a camcorder.

Is there a way to emulate the presence of the camcorder or to a person familiar with another tool that could help here? For DV editing, I use Vegas Video 5.0 (on the screen of your camcorder does the preview)

Thanks for the note, but I want to be a monitor, synonymous HDV / HDTV, and these TVs / preview monitors are currently somewhat out of reach ...
