Hello,
I got a friend of a notebook in which the graphics card is defective.
It appears, therefore, still just about a picture, but are all over the screen gray boxes, so while you can still see where you are straight, but can read text more.
Since the graphics card down on the motherboard is, one would need either a new motherboard, or one would have a new graphics card via infrared soldering change, which would mean the same price.
Both are worthwhile for the device no longer.
I have now is considering how I could do that part still makes sense to use.
There came to me just three ideas:
1. The display is still completely in order. So it would be great if we could take this as a monitor for the move (but I think net is, as far as I know)
2. The notebook used as an audio recorder.
Would go smoothly, but should be a piece of software, where you have set are not always what it saves the settings, so you just press the recording (must, for one) would know soon enough.
3. The two Batteries (; Li-Ion 11.1 V (use 6.8 Ah) for my radio transmitter s.der Steadycam, who needs 12 volts and 300 - 500 mAh)
Or take the parts (for the head light, 12V 20 watts). But I do not think is good, because you're not yet high performance should result from Li-Ion batteries right?
Do you have any other ideas what we might do with it.

PS: The monitor and the hard drive and memory latches you can profitably sell on Ebay a brief huni should be in there.
Then you can use the Batteries for you, and otherwise use the LAP as Requesite for any recording.

The "virus" I have been on it in the form of TightVNC. Over the network, I can serve him synonymous with no problems.
Is it worth it to the (included with the rendering; 1.75GHz).
There is the Adobe Media Encoder CS4 actually network rendering?

I'm still in front of the servers with 866MHz Pentium 2, he installed with the network rendering, yes, the always worthwhile (, apart from current consumption)
For pure video applications, it is worth only limited .... I can not stand much schaff with 3D.
But the lap could be synonymous installed as a multimedia server or router or "gateway BackUp Point with HoneyPot.
I use this small VIA EPIA systems such as terminals attached to me Media requests in the house .... touch panels provide almost at the touch of Music with the bathroom or put the kitchen.
Conclusion .... use what you have and you'll see that you can do a lot.
The deal to build and sell off the benefit factor is simply given and still worth much more than the few dollars that could be because rausschlagen perhaps.
