I have rotated the video now on Youtube, I would like to publish.

Youtube recommends the H.264 codec and a Resolutionvon 640 x 480 (4:3 SD)

My source file is an MPEG-2 (DV NTSC) with a Resolutionvon
720 x 576 and a size of 1700 MB and a playing time of 8 minutes.

QUESTION:

How do I convert s.besten? (with which program)

How do I calculate the bitrate to a certain output size to come?

I hope you can help me and I was not the most asked questions in this forum overlooked. I'm new here and have not the overview.

Strange Format: DV is not no MPEG2 and NTSC 720x576?

You're right my camera is NTSC but not PAL.

In what format / container characterized mini-DV is actually on? I thought that would be MPEG-2?

DV-AVI. This is definitely not MPEG2.
