Frage von Philipp_N:Hello,
I try to time in After Effects to animate Scriftzug one, so it looks as if it is drawn. I write a text (handwriting font, so consistently), right click on it -> Create Outlines.
For the so prepared mask I use Effects - Render filter -> dash. Synonymous Looks quite well except for two things:
1) For each letter is unfortunately a created their own self-contained mask, even though the text is continuous.
2) As the name suggests, creates the outlines, but I will only draws a single stroke of the word.
As another way to create a suitable mask, I see among the tools the pen, but only makes the lines can bend the man. So I can not write a word.
Are there other possibilities to realize my effect?

Hello,
I try to time in After Effects to animate Scriftzug one, so it looks as if it is drawn. There is such a solution, but it is a completely different approach:

The film looks to http://www.creativecow.net/articles/dickinson_john/handwritten_text/erika_prepared.mov.
And yet another solution: http://www.creativemac.com/2004/02_feb/tutorials/ko25040217.htm

Hello,
I think what he means is something else. It will create an outline around the font, right?
AEFX not have been long used, but the effect is there really a text stroke color, right? If, you choose only the outline, without filling it would actually work out! In an emergency or an alpha-level mat with the text - this time only half full - put over it.
A further possibility would be to unite it in Illustrator, the converted text to paths in the Pathfinder to, and then copy back into After Effects.
Have tested without it ... would have to work out!
I hope I could help!
Enjoy!
