Frage von zelot:Know love
I have a DVD in PAL created. Now what is this, if someone in this DVD NTSC want to look?
My reflections about this: If someone has a tube screen NTSC and has a DVD player where he can switch to PAL, the DVD player while the play, the TV shows it is not right.
If he, however, a new flat screen, then he can easily watch the DVD. Just as synonymous in the opposite direction.
Is it wrong or because I am fundamentally.
Thank you in advance.

If he, however, a new flat screen, then he can easily watch the DVD. That a new television or flat, said first and nothing about how he synonymous anything other than NTSC can play. Especially in USA, it is not (yet) saying that NTSC PAL devices synonymous play it - quite different in the opposite case.
By contrast, a PAL DVD s.Computer no problems, because the television standard plays no role.

Markus - Thanks for the prompt reply.
This reminds me yet this is a:
So I've thought of a flat screen is not in line procedure, but with pixels and this eliminates the PAL / NTSC problem away.
Can you describe in more detail why NTSC to PAL is less of a problem?
Thank you.

So I've thought of a flat screen is not in line procedure, but with pixels and this eliminates the PAL / NTSC problem away. Intern should in fact not be a problem, but somehow, the video from the DVD player so to get television. And there are just the analog connections even more widespread, such as Y / C or RGB / YUV. In this case it depends on the decoder to whether he only NTSC or PAL signals synonymous understands.
To what extent there is scope or digital alternatives exist, but I know not.

okay - thank you Mark, was very helpful

Can you describe in more detail why NTSC to PAL is less of a problem? This has no technical reason. It is simply the case that recent European Television (with the exception of absolute low-cost devices) synonymous 60 Hz or NTSC play it. In contrast, in North America for the most part pure 60-Hz units sold.
