Frage von Hansueli:First, a big hello to the forum!
I work now for more than 2 days, with a well-simple problem. I have a probably non-compliant vob file that I want to edit. With the premiere cs4.1 it can not be imported. So I walk in them first with virtualdub into an uncompressed AVI file. At the same time but I want to Crop the black bars on 16:9. The problem 720 * 576 (0,094) ... Is it correct if I resize in VDub first at 788 * 576, and then to 16:9 cropper? Virtualdub issue would then be 788 * 442, so that's not quite right? Actually, I want pixeling 16:9 without distortion with just a square, so that I can later in a widescreen 16:9, or flv convert (without great loss of quality) Internetkonform.
I'm almost s.verzweifeln! What do I do wrong, or what is not recommended?
Edit: This is the opening video (according to the classic mp)
Video: MPEG2 Video 720x576 (4:3) 25.00fps 7000Kbps [video]
Audio: PCM 48000Hz stereo 1536kbps [audio]
CS4 is a par in 1094

Have you ever tried simply renaming the VOB to *. mpg and then import it in Premiere? This is in fact mostly.
SD Resolutionam PC with quad. Pixels, 16:9, is 1024 x 576 So the easiest to create a Project with these parameters, import the video to scale horizontally until it fills the screen, top and bottom then falls away car was.
If you want to do it with VD:
Scaling to 1024 x 768 (4:3, quad. Pixels). Vertical Crop to 1024 x 576 (16:9, quad. Pixels).

Meggs Hello, Thanks for your quick response!
With the renaming of the've tried myself, without success. As synonymous with the avisynth plugin.
I have the Vob now with VD to 1024 * 768 resized, and gecroppt to 16:9. I have received 1024 * 576 is a logical PAR 1:1 16:9 resolution. I will convert them as avi saven, and with the cs4 media encoder.
THANK YOU!
But what is still questionable why I propose to premiere cs4 sometimes a 1050ger Resolutionals 16:9?
Edit: Is the codec caused when media encoder 1024 * 577 indicates a 16:9 output? Should I stay at 1024 * 576 and to convert it?

I would stay with 1024 x 576, or other divisible by 16 16:9 ratio. You want it so ultimately put in flash format on the Internet. So just s.besten convert into the desired final resolution.

Hi Meggs, I decided to convert the videos in 800 * 450 too!
