Comparison of the offer of Alternate twice as much RAM, larger hard drive and above all, a dual-core, the performance in a different league.
Yes, the calculator for $ 500 good enough for SD comfortable cutting. No, the 290 Euro Calculator is not with the $ 500 offer comparable.
I would offer for 500 euros and to accept vll only a 2 nd hard drive to buy to get the system and the video files on 2 different plates did.
Even better is this offer:
http://www.alternate.de/html/product/details.html?articleId=189923 If you have the whole configurator itself in a compilation (eg Alternate.de) to get meaningful choice synonymous already one of the new Core Duo CPU `s for $ 500 with 2 hard disks, each with 300-400 GB. Just understand.
Best regards,
Greeting

Configurator use.
The entire pre-configured PCs are great parts for the ton. There will be very happy Ladenhueter blocked by mindless and software supplements (like Vista) is trying to make it Tasty.
I would take:
Athlon 64x2 3800 EE (the EE is important, is the latest generation - more economical, faster and cooler than the old ones) - boxed
MSI K9N Board
2x 1GB DDR2-800 (MDT zb)
At least 400W PSU
ASUS GF 7100GS Silent (no fan of - that is already ma worth much - has 1x analog VGA port and once TFT - because you have to look)
DVD Burners and extra DVD-ROM drive (the burner you should not read to use - and 15 euros for s DVD-ROM drive is not synonymous amount)
Then 1-2 harddisks (with the occasional synonymous cut a 400 with 2 partitions, last)
Mouse & Keyboard own taste (I like to take as Cherry keyboard and Logitech mouse)
Incl. Assembly (without operating system) at 500 euros.
either alternate.de or atelco.de (which build both together).
The beauty is in the complete system is not always synonymous system warranty when something does not work, the troubleshooting is not passed to the owners.
