What to watch for is a card for DVB-S2. That is the standard of the German HDTV Channel (these cards are synonymous backwards compatible with DVB-S).
On some simple DVB-S card is still "HDTV-compatible" on it, but that applies only to HDTV channels in DVB-S, of which it is practically no longer exists.
