Can I perhaps someone with access via Firewire help?

I have a functional card with IEEE 1394 port.

If the camcorder (JVC GR DVL 140e) before booting already

started and is connected, an identification is made synonymous.

I can thus find that when I use the cable after

drive of the PC to deduct the "PlingPling" - as with removing noise

a USB cable sounds.

However, nowhere appears as a device of the camcorder on and the synonymous
Capture Software

(I have different software) does not recognize device.

Have someone a tip for me?

Immerse the FW card in Device Manager (synonymous) as / Network connection? -> Disable this feature.

Both not? -> More info, such as device manager, yellow exclamation marks, etc.

If I for example now widely available in the Movie Maker software on video of aufnehemn click device, no device is supposedly available. Can s.anderer body still things changed?
Drivers there are actually no Firewire.

Funny, I still find the entry for my firewire card, for me at Location: PCI Slot 3 (PCI bus 0, device 11, function 0)

Function 0 sounds for my understanding is not so great
Did someone even better ideas and what is with you at work?

Is synonymous with me so similar: PCI Slot 3 (PCI bus 2, device 7, function 0), but runs. With SP2.

Even if the odd is, I do not believe that your problem.

Movie Maker = XP = XP SP2 probably -> Search function

According to Murphy, it could be that you put your camera in the playback mode necessary.

I am now almost certain that the error on the DV port on the camcorder is, a close friend of his camcorder s.Firewire s.and everything runs similar to USB, "PlingPling" and the device is detected

But it is probably a defect s.Anschluß, right?

So ein Sch ..... !?

Or does anybody have another idea or conjecture?
Gewackelt I s.Kable synonymous already - it will change nothing.
So probably not a loose contact, but a real defect?

Why synonymous?
Mir is important but the data of my camcorder on my calculator to get and it helps me a little when the other device to work with me

Because so my device with my hardware (firewire, cable, PC) s.meinem PC is not recognized and not synonymous with Calculator s.dem the map and know when the cable is probably the camcorder connection s.dem be broken, right?

I know of no good way synonymous data elsewhere on my Calculator in good quality to get

I have a Dazzle, a connector for an AV cable is USB, but the quality is not so exciting (and thus not a good alternative synonymous)

Question is not permanent, but do the test and you know it.

The Dazzle is no such A / D converter which I believe because USB and MPEG, I think a converter that outputs DV via Firewire.

SO - NOW DO I USE THE LAST ATTEMPT

I'm going to get like another Firewire cable buy a cable that acts on both sides of the small port

I was a laptop (I did not think off), which is also a (small) Firewire port

I am then, if I (with luck) had success

I voted yes synonymous nor the suggestion that perhaps a Winbugs or driver problem

In my driver I have a total of 4 for Choice; 2 x VIA OHCI, OHCI and 1 x PCI 1 x OHCI

When I go to play mode and the OHCI install / update, sounds and after completion of the cable pulling the "PlinPling" sound like when you remove the USB cable. Thus the system would actually have found something. Perhaps the connection is not broken ???!???!!!

However, the software (Movie Maker, Power Producer, Presto, etc.) but no device found.

So - then I use the same time the "last straw" and was perhaps fortunate?
