I have now almost over a month-long problem with the MAGIX VIDEO de luxe 2007/2008-cutting program. Over a month I tried with MAGIX mittlererweile 12 (!!!) e-mails to help to solve this problem - and it does not succeed until now! IT IS to despair !!!!!!!
I have a SONY HDD Camera (DCR-SR290) and I do not succeed with LIVETON the scenes in the storyboard of MAGIX over payload. I always get just the images - no LIVETON! You have to use at MAGIX additional features like Dolby sound activate, it succeeds with an activation code of MAGIX. This code, I can not enter because the "Anklickfläche" to "gray" is ...!
My computer with Windows XP - SP2 was 6 weeks and re-set before I could a movie with all the features synonymous with the edit Liveton dazu! Since this Neuaufsetzung the PC I of MAGIX get new activation codes, but I is not said Menufeld can enter, because everything GRAY (not clickable) is ...! I'M ALREADY ON despair because after 12 e-mails, still no solution in sight ...!
Have now s.MAGIX five "trial scenes" with a DVD sent to these times can abchecken! Waiting for reply ....

A second problem, I still synonymous:
I have an older SONY Videocam model (DCR-TRV6E) which I with a FireWire cable connected s.PC have. Effect: the device has no connection with the PC .....?????!!!!!

You have given me quite an e-mail, but the problem with you, unfortunately I can not help. I am using Magix 07/08 with a Panasonic MiniDV Camera. As goes the import AVI files via firewire without problems, even though I have SP2.
The other problem with your camera, I believe in the compression. The files are already there in the Camera in MPG2 converted. I've got something of a trick is that the endings of the files will rename. But please do not ask me what the format should be. But if you have gray buttons mean yes, that you do not have the full version.
If thou hast Magix 07/08 Pros this area should be clickable.

If the area is grayed out, the codec should already be on it.
Is because of the Dolby Digital 5.1 codec is active (not only the Dolby stereo codec)?
The codecs will remain even when Neuaufsetzen - in the same partition will be installed - will receive.
Otherwise: If the Magix support can not help ... the really should know where the codec slumbers.

In the Help menu I had the "Extra Features" (for which I am the new MAGIX Activierungscode got) and namely:
MPEG-2 activated (gray), that have an activation code!
Enable MPEG 4 (black, but I need not ....!)
MP3 activate (gray, but I need not ...!)
Dolby Digital Stereo Decoder Enable (gray, that have a code!)
I did not o7/o8 plus MAGIX MAGIX but the de luxe 2007/08, which already once - before the computer Neuaufsetzung worked ... yes!
