I had the opportunity at an affordable price (around 150 euros) one of these to buy, I know the seller personally, the cameras are maintained and work perfectly.

I look at the detailed list of the advantages I have just come:
VX1000
- Should have larger sensor (lichstärker)
- Rugged device, good haptics
GS400
- Progressive recording (looks really good)
- 16:9 (the VX1000 could then know? I think not)
Against the VX1000, I would say the following:
- Relatively old (perhaps abgenudelte heads)
- No 16:9 (please confirm!)
Against the NV-GS400:
- Fairly faint
And now you can decide yourself: D
If you like the lack of 16:9 and the worn head might not mind, then VX1000. If you have nice shots progressive want, then NV-GS400. The purchase price was definitely the 1000s higher than the NV-GS400. The 400 can be but at least as AD converters use (this was itself a lie), with the 1000s is perhaps synonymous.
