Hello,
I am looking for some time a mini-DV camcorder and have now pulled through 3 in my research closer Choice.
1. Panasonic NV-GS280 (3CCD, but 1 / 6 "chip)
2. SonyDCR HC-96 (no 3CCD, but 1 / 3 "chip)
3. JVC X5 (3CCD, 1 / 4, 5 "chip, but" strange "form)
I would get all around the same price.
What would it take?

Philipp :) Then I ask for time. In another thread here irgendso (a Fakethread) was the GS280 recommended because of their quality. And on the GS300 camcorder info (seems to be almost identical except for a few connections with the GS280) yes synonymous much praised, although the lowlight performance will be at the Sonybesser.

This has nothing to do with Panasonic's Engstirnblick, I think the GS 280, just better even though all are 3 Wahnsinnig not far apart.
SonyHC 96 has not!
- No perfect Charger included
- No 3 CCD
- No optical stabilizer
- No precise aperture setting
- No shutter speed adjustment
- No gain adjustment
- No S-video cable supplied
- Basically a button (joystick) for all functions handling
- Software with a useful way dubbing the movie in full Resolutionauch via USB to
- Currently use the option without hesitation synonymous Fremdakku's that fit at HC 96, in the moment thanks to Sony product companies usually only the originals - FP 50 / 71 / 90 and they are expensive
- No cheap and widely available SD card to store the Stillimage's / MPEG movies
- Microphone port with free choice of the device with 3.5 mm jack
Yes, the Sony Group (I know the benefits do not synonymous Pana glasses) - 25 P recording, time lapse recordings, bracketing / continuous shooting mode in the photo, without light best night program on motion, Lanc connection, a little better angle, AV IN)

Everyone has their own opinion, I prefer Panasonic GS 280 - I find the GS 280 pictures better. And not by any users of the web fake video's but from my own experience in recent weeks.
Buy what you want, but please not with the company's glasses to the motto - I think Sonygut - everything else is crap - and that was good 10 years so, unfortunately, has Sonyauf rested their laurels, JVC, Canon and Panasonic have definitely caught up / partially obsolete.
I usually go synonymous with fair to the competitors.

since I'm new here, I'll throw once a friendly "hello" in the round:)
Synonymous for a long time I browse through various forums, looking for a suitable camcorder for me - and I've looked at the ussynonymous "camcorderinfo" Page, the above-cited comparison videos, since both models are in my immediate choice. It has struck me that, apparently in the compilation (Video 5), the devices have been confused: the author speaks of the fact that the Panasonic and the Sony right links is up to him - but that does not fit the individual recordings (Video 1-4) :
Sony: slight yellow cast, faster AF, higher detail drawing
Pana: more neutral (slightly reddish), easy pumping AF, fainter
Perhaps I have misunderstood his statement, however, synonymous - so can anyone tell me what the video (for the split-screen) of the Sony is?
