here a little experience. I have this SD camcorder for 3 days and have already worked for several hours. I film a lot and need a small and yet high quality device. That is why I am for the SDR-S10 decided. Here is my first (subjective) impression: accessories is (almost) complete! 2 GB card, hand strap, software (good for nothing), Instructions, Battery. The lack of lens protection nervt latest at the first contact with the lens. On the device: this wonderfully handy camcorder even fits in your pocket. From simple plastic looking, well-processed, affects overall robust. TFT display reflects very, not fully rotatable, relatively small viewing angle, very good brightness and contrast. All buttons with barely perceptible pressure point. The Battery is required between 2 and 3 hours for a full charge. You can with the original battery is a little over an hour to film. NoName Batteries gibts S.5 euro is already on the Internet ..
The main menu is short but concise held. The manual settings on small buttons can be operated, the "automatic" mode but works very reliable and can always be used. The zoom (10x) is sufficient, the Image Stabilization done his job excellently. I particularly like the second shutter release button next to the side of the front panel. This can make the camcorder on the side of hip and keep it easy to start recording.
Now for the recording quality: the "SP" mode (middle stage) are hardly recognizable artifacts. Nevertheless fit over 50 minutes on the supplied 2GB card. Improved quality of the "XP" mode. The autofocus is generally reliable. In good light (s.besten sunlight) shines the SDR-S10 with very beautiful and vivid colors. Overall, the picture appears (on the PC) slightly blurred ... The best images are ready to cut to DVD or VCD. At night you can see, unfortunately, almost nothing more. Nevertheless, in the vicinity of a light well to film. Only without artificial light at night the screen remains absolutely dark. The quality of indoor lighting can be considered as "average" respectively. Positive this is still the sovereign working autofocus and amazingly low noise stress. The night mode is useless. With this, the Camorder only about 2 a.m. to 5 p.m. frames per second (if there are synonymous and really bright colors) on. The sound is somewhat "ungentlemanly", the middle a little harsh. The stereo effect is poor.
Overall I am very satisfied. The small device is a good technique. It did not with a digital camera with movie function, but with a real camcorder with photo function (which incidentally is less exhilarating) to do. For the price of already only 350 euros you will get probably actually no better digital camcorder with memory instead of MiniDV. My Kauftipp s.alle hobby filmmakers with little money and space in your pocket! Overall, my expectations were exceeded. Hopefully the true long-term quality ...

thank you for the test report ... synonymous got the cam. fetched .. so now my question ... where do I get cheap spare battery .. (internet s.5Eur?) .. original battery costs s.50eur .. (can I find a Frechheit ..) well ... many thanks ... peter herz

me but you can certainly help. I only get the pictures on my XP PC. The videos recognizes the PC does not. Help.
