Frage von farnelli:The filter consists of a neutral density filter (ND8) and MC Protection Filter.
What is an MC Protector filter, what this film in the (effect)?
At neutral density filter, I read the following:
Neutral density filter (synonymous: ND filter)
With too much light (highly sensitive material under a radiant bright sunlight) or to achieve a smaller depth of field, neutral density filter is the drug of choice.
They only control the brightness, but not at all affect the color spectrum. Indirectly, by taking the change in depth in well aesthetically modified lens iris influence on the Picture.
They come in different densities. A 0.6-ND filter reduces the brightness by two gates, one ND 0.3 a Aperture. Included in the filter set and ND8 neutral density filter has the description in the above-quoted text of ND0, 6 spoke and 0.3, here comes my ND8 very large.

Hello farnelli,
in which filters are expected to act in a UV filter that has a better image quality for a so-called multi-layer coating. This property is called the "multicoated" and is abbreviated with MC. More on the filter as you can find here such as:
de.wikipedia.org / wiki / UV filter
As far as your question-density filter, the different values are based simply on two different ways to specify the filter strength. For your info in short: A ND8 reduces light by three stops.

The ND8 is the strongest of the three I know of neutral density filter (ND2, ND4, ND8). He darkens the picture from s.meisten.

Then I sit down time with the ND400 topped another one! This neutral density filter (of Nikon, Pentax and Hoya) is 0.25% of the entire incident light through, but it is obviously intended only for special applications such as solar photography.

The MC is a UV filter, filter - I have the set.
The explanation of the top but I do not know - interesting.
