What hardware CPU, etc. you have in use. Look at times in the task manager (ctrl alt and N) your current processes. How high is the CPU load? Spyware on the calculator? What does the swap file?

Hello!
Have AMD 2700 with NVIDIA Geforce 5600 with 128 MB DDR RAM.
CPU is currently 5-7%, but was sometimes synonymous already at 90%. The paging file is 506 MB. I'm fairly layman, so please express understandable. Thank you!

naja 128 MB of memory is ever a vital problem. XP (SP2) should actually be with min. 512 MB system. That will work wonders ever!
What was with the Taskmanager still the same?
Addendum: I just easily procure the feeling that the memory on the graphics card related?

Thanks for all opinions. Indeed, the problem arises that DMA back to PIO had fallen. Thanks to the excellent description on http://winhlp.com/WxDMA_D.htm I switched back to DMA and lo and behold, no more jerky.
Thanks and greetings
