Frage von LuBa:Hello,
synonymous, I have it done to me to buy the Pinnacle Studio 10plus version. After I uninstalled everything old (coming of 8th ..), I first installed the 3 CDs, ran smoothly. After that the already existing patch downloaded and installed on 10.5. Now I have made some experiments with NEW recordings (Edit thus no existing tried anew!), Which goes for a while and then falls abruptly from the calculator so that the system only through the controlled startup is coming back into rhythm. This usually happens when I try to rename a project and to save. After Wiederhochfahren it is a fact that neither the project is saved, nor are the last edits there. So, really annoying. It makes me scared at the thought of wanting to treat the first "real" movie. If I had stayed only in the 8's, which was not so much, but was absolutely reliable. I blind me of the many new opportunities and can find out too late of this forum.
Can someone possibly help me here, what should I do here?
Thanks and greeting Lutz

Difficult to answer. In my experience, S10.5 is very stable.
Enough disk space do you have?
Compared S8 (and S9), S10 requires a very powerful system environment, especially the graphics card. On what kind of computer do you S10 starts. Possibly. It is already helping to update the graphics driver.

... the calculator will work is an AMD with 2.6 or 2.8 GHz (I do not remember so well 512er memory for the graphics card and I immediately had a new drivers to load (Recommendation hangs while installing).
I confess that I am not so directly Calculator'm an expert. If you need more detailed information: where I should look in the system as to make you more information?
I actually wanted to USE the program and haunt not only through half the Calculator, but now can not change it.
Thanks for more tips!

How big are your partitions?
Where you will save the auxiliary files?
How big are your projects? Try it once with very short test projects (1-2 minutes).
If you reject your help files, which can in 1 hour AVI with 10 GB DVD image quickly and achieve more in several projects on a partition, perhaps, leaves on the system partition is the space away quickly.
So, delete auxiliary files of finished projects that help save new files on its own partition (disk), the source material as well.

Also there can hardly be because:
I have a 130GB hard drive and built-in calculator use these almost exclusively for Stillimage and Film. I have almost 100 GB free. The photo files are negligible compared to the movie files. All video files I've deleted during the installation (or on external hard drive moved) and then start all over again. The test film, of which I spoke is about 2min long - 4 different scenes of about 20-30 seconds in length. Because it can create almost as great help files, so that my plate is already quite large in the knees.
As I said, yes, I had already prepared for the new software and creating special place.
My guess is therefore that this space is missing, but that some systems do not fit here together.
Maybe I would but the graphics card or switch? Possibly. was the recommended patch not so good ...
With the old version I had to edit some of the time despite Existing DVD projects, is still plenty of room left, a Project of 45min problems.

The Studio software has always been a little tricky when it comes to a clean system environment. Nevertheless, it sounds somewhat atypical to what I've noticed. Can of course be synonymous, that has been running during the installation of any wrong.
And what I just think: You work with admin rights, yes?
Is unfortunately required.
Antwort von wirtilein:
Unfortunately I do not here the background, what are you admin rights?
If it mean if I can freely access: Yes.
I am the only user of the computer. If there but what must be terminated info please, thank you

Please go to the following:
Delete everything under "Documents and Settings / All Users / Application Data (hidden Folder) / pinnacle studio".
(Warning! Not the "Pinnacle" folder)
