Hello,
I wish with avid free dv cut a video. However, if I want to play in popup window or in the composer window, the picture is always stuck at the first frame.
Although the sound is next - as well as the marking in the timeline - the picture is not. when I press on pause, then I see the last frame in which the image has just been paused.
I have an ati radeon x1600 - could there be to blame? I already have the latest drivers.
In the premiere with the reproducing eigentlihc works without problems ...

I suspect the problem rather s.Deiner graphics card. Avid is a Nvidia card for almost mandatory (though not a Quadro FX, then at least one of the GeForce cards) and even then running the whole thing with very specific drivers (not the most recent).
Even if I had posted here several times already, just read the comments here views: http://www.avid.com/exchange/forums/thread/37855.aspx - perhaps you will find there the answer is yes (that which related to Xpress Pro, but I just suspect that this will not in the free version otherwise is).

habs jetzt mal so I tried another and as described downloaded quicktime version - but unfortunately without success. hab mal synonymous avid reinstalled - still the same.
but that may not even be the program on the ati card is almost unusable ...

Oh yes, you can do it. Avid is really one of the few Programs that are so bitchy do with the hardware, while other programs, it is absolutely no preference, which tinkers in there (even when advised to rely on Intel's Processor - Official support for AMD's systems are up Today, not of Avid).
;-) It's called not in vain, the diva of the cut programs. So great, I actually think the UI, so modest, I find this product policy.
On the other, of course, synonymous Page has the advantages: Avid Certified Workstations and certain tests on these Programs on the heart and kidneys. I can not try it now, but wimre must "Enable Digital Video Out" to be voted out of office, have to play in the window. Already tested?

try it once in the advanced options of your vga card runterzustellen under "troubleshooting" the hardware acceleration as much as necessary.
then start each new setting with the new program to try and if does what. has helped me with the same problem in adobe encore.

So I ne nen AMD and ATI graphics card and Avid has always ran on my system. Undzwar each version - synonymous the ones you really can not even install at home;)
It can be connected with your TV out. Have you checked the perhaps? Then your graphics card does not come with a clear overlay.
Turn 2, Monitor output from, and then try again.
Another option: New GraKa Drivers.
On my ATI but always ran everything - no preference as to date or the drivers were not current.

That is, if you have only the audio level meter in the timeline window a blue circle, then it can not work synonymous. Then simply press time on it and it turns green. Now you should see synonymous run your video.
