Hello!
I hope you can help me. I have here a SonyHandycam CCD TR75E, I try this with my old Video8-tapes to play on the television or on your PC secure.
The quality of the video is actually quite impressive (material of 89-90), the sound is synonymous totally OK, AAAAB: Sometimes no sound at all, ie, in one scene is still sound, the next not. Is synonymous reproducible, always s.der same place. No sound is synonymous somewhat exaggerated, in the background (on TV as loud as possible) can be very quiet to hear anything else.
Do you get the sound I still somehow back again? The tapes were the last years of Tenth really only in the basement ... it is not synonymous with any such tape.

If the sound is always suspends s.der same place as you write, you have probably s.dieser place on the soundtrack to the video tape is no longer error-free or no longer fully available. Causes for your problem could be several:

The picture is on the tapes remains strong, only a few seconds would have struck me so far (2 hours of compatriots!) On which the Picture to s / w and tends to back. Should I just go through the tape or leave out and herspulen etc.? Had really pity if the sound wegwär ...

Lindern or remedy can be after digitization with a sound editor. The quiet places to raise levels to normal, then noise.

synonymous thee thanks for your answer. Could you me a (free) software with which I recommend as the layperson reasonably achieved? There are really great things that would otherwise be lost, unfortunately.

friend is too far. I work with Audition and Cubase, both recommended but no freeware.
Audacity is a freeware editor praised the general will. However, I have no personal experience with it.
