Frage von Blackeagle123:Hello,
I have a question about filters. And although I have on the page:
http://www.cokin.com/ico3-p1-7.html
polarizer in the so-called "Polacolor" found.
Is that a mix of pin-and color filter or a very specific color filter?
The effects, the images on the order has been made already look great, but of course you can hinbekommen by a color correction synonymous in the postpro so.
Fänds only interesting times, why are there!
Many dear greetings

Hi Constantin,
I realize that I was not long on the Polfilterseite of Cokin. Last I had been fascinated by the Varicolors because you can change the colors with which the reflections. So rather than wipe out Reflections, will be wiped out only certain wavelengths, represented by the reflecting surface color. (This goes some way synonymous with standard polarizing filters for screwing: Simply Of Page from the other and see through the filter, rotate!)
I assume that the Polacolor a similar principle underlies such as Varicolors, except that the color is not in two directions (eg changing blue / yellow) but only in one (eg yellow). - The question is: What should we do with such a filter, except the satisfaction of playfulness? A practical use for it so far I have not had ... ;-)
The effects, the images on the order has been made already look great, but of course you can hinbekommen by a color correction synonymous in the postpro so. Color correction yes, but not in the same way as the polarization filter (yes on the polarity properties of the light rays) accesses to a nonlinear editing s.digitalen Picture no longer available.
A
similar effect can be safely achieved using Color correction synonymous.

The operation of this filter is described, for example here:

Hello,
erstmal thank all of you!
To Mark:
The properties of polarized lenses are known to me, and of course you can take out one reflection of water, of course not in digital imaging is no longer ".
If I use a polarizer, a circular polarizing filter quite normal, then I can about the image editing to achieve the same effect?
As I have understood you, but only (!) The reflections of a different color? Hence it would be very difficult.
Or is it the whole picture changed slightly colored?
What would happen if you buy a polarizer behind the screw and filter a color filter?
Regards
Constantin
Antwort von Markus:
If I use a polarizing filter, then I can [...] on the image editing to achieve the same effect? No no, a hundred percent, but the job you even found in the following text.
Or is it the whole picture changed slightly colored? It depends of the individual from the shooting situation. As synonymous with a normal circular polarizer there are settings in which virtually everything is changing, and then there are settings, as does almost nothing. Something like this will be synonymous with a Polacolor filter.
What would happen if you buy a polarizer behind the screw and filter a color filter? That would be a similar effect as a polarizing filter with subsequent color correction in the NLE. The color filter has indeed no selective effect on polarized light, but always changes the whole picture.
