Hello,
I voted yesterday for the first time that a video camera with the
Windows Movie Maker editing. After the burn as a VCD, which was
Grotte image so bad that I once tried a DVD. Thus, it was synonymous not better. From the quality I achieve if I use the camcorder (mini DV) directly connected s.den Television, I was miles away. Can anyone give a hint as I have with the movie makers achieve a better quality. Or can anyone recommend other software? Thanks in advance

I think there would be a few more details needed:
Have you directly with the VOB file of the DVD work?
What data was recorded in the camcorder?
Saw the original DVD markedly better?
What exactly have you changed / edited?
Depending on it is quite possible that here the principal drawbacks of the DVD camcorder to hit the heavily compressed than MPEG2 record and therefore the system has never s.die quality of mini-DV will come. Depending on what could be in place, then you get the more or less strongly felt.

I think I have as synonymous' s silly little words.
So, that was so. I have with the camcorder (mini DV) on holiday 'rumgefilmt. After I was back home, I have the film on the Movie Maker on my calculator load. Then I got him with a few games provide clean, then click "Finish Movie" (or similar) button. It took some time until the Calculator from film and games a WMV file made. This I then as a VCD with NERO burned. But the picture was by far not as high resolution as it is, when I use the camcorder directly s.die Glotze connect. On the second attempt, I have the movie on a DVD. The format was more extensive than that of VCD, but the picture was just as bad.
Hence my question: Can the Movie Maker at a higher resolution setting? If yes, how do you do that? If not, someone knows of software with a better image quality can be achieved?

In Windows Movie Maker, there is the wizard to save the possibility of a film (see picture), quality and size of a file to determine. Maybe a little bit of time there "herumprobieren".
Otherwise, of course, helps a sensible editing software next;) From the Movie Maker can be, I think, do not expect too much.

... the "DV-AVI (PAL) provides the best quality with in WMM. It can be found in Nero Vision, for example, import a DVD to make of it ... but the program calculates synonymous miserable long turn around.
Better sound editing program to buy the DVD images immediately and without any detours can produce.
