hello, nothing against your project, but would it not make more sense to direct a small DV camera to buy. For 250, - Euro findes du schon was. Then the problem is with the hard recorder, the rest very much, due out.

Helmet camera with a MiniDV Camera Recorder achieve far better quality than HD or SD recorder.
For what you need to get the helmet camera? HD is not for shock.
