I want my old Premiere 6.5 has finally replaced by Premiere Pro.

Would you rather a dual-core or maybe a normal processor. Have heard that dual core in the first place with multiple programs running simultaneously benefits (I have rather rare).
How big is the difference between normal and dual-core at first, because someone has experience?
