MPEG2 bit too big ...

Hi,
I have the following problem, which I here in the forum could not find the answer: I would like to see a movie like, 1h 30m long to burn a DVD without menu, etc.
I also use NERO 6 and the format of the file is MPEG2.
Unfortunately the file is 0.14 GB is too big :-(
Do you know a program with the file which you can reduce the extent that they draufpasst?
