Frage von kingofthelake:Hello,
I have the following problem: I want to cut out shooting with different resolutions (17:10, 18:10, 4:3, all in MPEG4), a new one. When editing program I use MediaStudio Pro 7
Since I most wanted to have good quality, I have chosen as the project settings, DV (4:3 and 16:9), but somehow he expects everything at once. I thought he would not provide the Project with appropriate resolutions black bars, but he draws the picture in the Height.
I only need to convert all the movies individually in a fixed common size before I can make a project of this? Would be appropriate for VirtualDub (I have not yet worked with.)
Thank you for your hints - Michael

With the fixed size would I do with VDub is not the synonymous different. Specifically, I would suggest (without knowing your program), load each movie individually, if you can cut out any excess and then export the rest as DV-AVI, the files are not all that great. In conclusion, then all DV Avis load into a movie and performing Endbearbeirung. If you want smart rendering for DVD and dominates your Prg and you only want to cut hard, can you export synonymous mpeg-2, the files are much smaller, but you lose quality if you then still filters, transitions, etc. used.

This does not work, because:

This means that I must find a project setting that matches the existing exactly, then cropping the image size in the film, so that the Seitenverhältniss fit and then export the movie.
But I have already the first Schrittz problems because either DV or MPEG allow selected as a project setting a free Seitenverhältniss with. I need a new codec or another program, or have I understood something not right?
Final result can MPEG4, or DVD.

Then go as follows:
1.) Loading and install VDub (http://www.virtualdub.org/)
2.) upload and install the Panasonic DV codec vfw (http://users.tpg.com.au/mtam/install_panvfwdv.htm)
Open 3.) then VDub and singly) for one movie (:
a) Film Download File> open video file open
b) Switch Video -> full procesing mode
select c) Video -> filter, it is a (left) blank window
d right) add button, then double-clicking the left resize> it appears the filter settings.
tick e) products expand frame and letterbox image and frame width = 720, adding frame height = 576 (this is so then Pal)-resolution. Above you can change your original video size, but stay within the Palformats, otherwise cut off eighth (and of course on the aspect ratio!). Filter Mode: I usually use precise bicubic A = 0.75
With the preview you look up to you, looks like the result and can then change your settings again if necessary. 2 xOK Press
f) Video -> Compression here select the Panasonic DV-AVI codec. Then save F7 (=) undwarten (transcode) and next film ....
The DV-Avis You can then further process for pleasure and mood .......
