Hi,
I hope I'm right here somewhat. I know next to individual formats and simple video editing (Studio 10) in this difficult area. Hope someone here can help me:)
I have a documentary in WMV format of a friend who had it (after a total failure of his computer, I have just the file). This I would like to upload at Youtube, but I have 2 problems. The format is not supported and the length / size exceeds 100mb and 10min.
The video is readily available on the VLC media player open.
Now I wanted to cut the video and convert it to fit. However, Studio 10 supports the format is not the Movie Maker and spits when you import the message "... could not be imported." out. I wanted to be with other programs in a different format. The programs I tried had support in WMV, but each time was an error: wrong format, it can not be opened, may be damaged.
After further Googling, I came to the Asf Tool, which is able to convert videos to cut and repair.
When you convert:
"Invalid header Obj ID
--->> Error while convering
File Closed. "
In Repair:
"Unable to find signature ASF!
File Closed
On the site, I came up with the idea that I just have the video with a tool (I did it with the ZD Soft Screen Recorder probiert) abfilme from the desktop. Only problem was that during the recording of the VLC Media Player no longer viewed or when you try without the compression after 2min hard drive was full.
Did someone perhaps a hint of how the video I still "save" it?
The last idea that I would have it, give me a DVD recorder of a friend borrow the video of the PC to the TV to transfer and of record there. Then I would have it, however, of the DVD and convert herunterkopieren again, probably with much loss brings.

Sounds as the video was corrupted. VLC plays a lot more from what other programs no longer play it.
Two possibilities are me: VLC videos can export (File - Streaming Wizard - Trancodieren / save as a file). I have since, however, found no option to save uncompressed matters and the necessary data rates are pretty puny ...

I am now one step next. I now have the video in mpeg format on the VLC media player. Only problem is that I have no sound. Through various settings and formats, I got different results: only Picture only sound (but in a video format), none of the two. About the TMPGEnc, I had no success. I mean, I had it with the program had already tried.
Has anyone any idea how I now can secure the soundtrack in an audio format, or with which program I 2 video traces can be cut together, so I only one of the sound or do I only have the opportunity to play the video and to let the sound of analog recording (matching programs?)
