Frage von Chris14114313:I have the following problem: have a recording of mini-DV with Firewire cable into my iMovie (the previous Verion, not the latest, but of Mac OSX 10.4) recorded. Has worked wonderfully (only on play, then click Import). Then I wanted to import the next tape, but from an inexplicable to me why there is the Import button is no longer. Have everything done, as before, but it is only turned on the iSight camera and I can only "me" record, but not my tape import. Previously, as I said everything went fine. Synonymous've rebooted everything again s.and identified, etc., but it does not work anymore. I see nowhere a possibility to return to the Import button to get iSight instead of the buttons. I need to urgently restore the tapes and do not know what I still do. Have all the support through, but no answer to my question ... Please help me ...:) Thank you love and greetings!

If the camera listed in the System Profiler?
Antwort von Chris14114313:
Yes, have often DV tapes imported.
Antwort von Axel:
What Isekram probably thinks: is perhaps the firewire port somewhere damaged (not infrequently)?
Do you have Leopard? Also conceivable that the old version on the new OS zickt. With iMovie, I rarely, but I know the problem is that iSight is always preferred - and it can not disable it. There is only one tool (Google), the iSight for a program is disabled. That does not concern you that FW might be faulty. Even with QT Pro (approx. ¬ 30) you can capture.
If I remember, I have the import function (the only one for which I iMovie to use the Fast) at the time back by saying several times between scissors and film camera and have hergeschaltet. Good luck!
