Frage von snapco:I use Pinnacle Studio 11 (with latest patch) and wanted to upgrade to Studio 12 Pros.
System: brand new calculator with Windows Vista Business 32-bit with Service Pack 1, Intel Core Q9450 @ 2Quad CPU 2.66 Ghz, 4 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT
During the installation process comes the message:
"Pinnacle Studio 12 Installer Information: Could not open key: UNKNOWN \ FPMPGTS.FPMPGTS.1 \ CLSID. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or get in touch with your support staff, in conjunction"
I have so far during my installation attempts done:
1. I am an administrator, the installation was setup as administrator
2. experimental basis, I have the UAC off in Vista, unsuccessfully
3. I have Studio 11 (Ultimate) completely uninstalled and RegDelete Pinnacle Studio 11 applied and "all products" from the registry gecleant, then Studio 11 completely reinstalled, Calculator zwischendurch repeatedly rebooted - unsuccessfully
4. I have the full 2 GB large VISTA certified Studio 12 Upgrade File of the Pinnacle site and download the installation tried to unsuccessfully
5. I have the File FPMPGTS.FPMPGTS.1 \ CLSID in the registry and searched but not found
All attempts were unsuccessful, the installation always stops after the files were unpacked and the installation process is quite a time running. What should I change / adjust?

Snapco Hello!
I would even try to cover the anti-virus prog and / or firewall before installing off, or off.
Good luck!

Hi vaio,
pity, Your tip was unsuccessful. BUT: Now I have done the following:
1. VISTA under new user with administrator privileges is created
2. Vista reboot
3. under the new Studio 12 User Upgrade installed
4. Studio 12 runs!
BUT: I'm no longer working environment and s.die data under the "old" administrator ran.
How do I use these accounts together?
I can not always distinguish between the users out and herswitchen.
Who knows Council
Antwort von vaio:
Snapco Hello!
What "work environment and data" do you mean?
By default, the "personal data" of each user in the same folder of the Windows installation drive.
1. Possibility: You can as an admin individual "shares" for the appropriate folder. Previously, however, you need to "Folder Options", tab "View" may set the cross on "Hide Hidden Folders ..." off.
2. Option: click on folder, right click, Properties
Security tab, button "Advanced"
Reiter "owner"; select Administrator; hook "For all objects take on ..." set
Button "accept" button and wait
Close window
Click the folder, right click, Properties
Security tab; user add button "Advanced"
Check permissions on existing sub-folders inherit ... " set
Button "accept" button and wait
Generally, I recommend that all project files - I assume you mean s.das - on another drive or another partition, to save it. That can really cut into the software under "Settings", etc. configure synonymous. Anyway, at the Premiere and Edius so.
Or have I misunderstood you?

Michael
